Taekwondo Personal Training
Is the combination of Boxing and Taekwondo good for practical self defence? Why? Why not?
I have done a few Boxing personal training sessions and train in WTF Taekwondo. Good?
Not really since Boxing is one of the systems that helped build Taekwondo. But since it is WTF and WTF doesn’t put much emphasizes on Hand techniques, go for it dude.

Mixed Martial Arts Strength Workouts
Which martial art is best for cardio? Karate or TKD?
Hey y’all, I do cardio 3x and weight/strength training 2x a week at the gym. However, I’m thinking about adding a martial art to the mix. I’m looking for a good balance between good cardio workout and self-defense (the former being the major factor)…
Unfortunately, the only MA’s available in my area are Karate and Taekwondo. Which one is better for cardio? I’ve read that TKD is better for cardio, but very unfeasible in terms of good self-defense, and that karate is good for self-defense but provides very little cardio. Are either/both of these statements true?
Thanks in advance!
Any authentic martial arts school will give you quite a workout. It all depends on the instructor and his teaching method. And although Karate and TKD(as long as they are legit schools) might give you the cardio workout you are looking for, it’s not really the main focus of their training. But if working on your cardio is all that you want, then you’d probably be better off just taking up Running or Tae Bo, since these are specifically geared towards training your cardio. Running is specially effective since you can also use it for self defense. If an attacker can’t catch you, he can’t hurt you.
