Defending myself with chemicals?

I’m a pretty short guy, I would say about 5’10 and I’m about 180 pounds, lean. I go to a pretty rough high school, and long story short a giant of a kid wants to smash my skull in. I was thinking of using comet (A cleaning agent which uses bleach as the primary ingredient) to defend myself by throwing it in his eyes, and then running away. I’m not sure what the exact effects of this would be on him, nor am I sure of whether or not it’s legal. I don’t have the time to learn a martial art, I’m a bit of a loner, so this seems like my only option.

So, could anyone tell me the legal repercussions of this?

Get some mace. If you need a reason to carry it, tell the police you live in a bad neighborhood and are often out at night working, etc.
I would carry a small baseball bat with me for protection. If you have to defend yourself from this idiot, they’ll want to know why you have comet on you. I would seek help from your guidance counselor or the police. If he threatened you, you can have him arrested. I’m from US so I’m not too familiar with Canada’s laws.

You do what you feel you need to do to be safe. If the punk is going to be on you, get the police involved.
