With no friends in a strange land, Dre has nowhere to turn but maintenance man Mr. Han, who is secretly a master of kung fu. As Han teaches Dre that kung fu is not about punches and parries, but maturity and calm, Dre realizes that facing down the bullies will be the fight of his life.

He’s gentle with their idiocies, saving his sharpest barbs for himself (it’s his pants that split from zipper to waist whilst demonstrating martial arts in Canton). Though dribs of history and drabs of classical… |

Karate Nurse

Listen this question is very serious so please no funny answer?
Yesterday my husband and i were playing around like karate kicks and stuff like that. I accidently hit his man part down there. He dropped to the floor and cried. Today he tells me it’s still real sore. Please does it sound like he needs to go to the hospital. He says it’s not a constant pain the pain comes and goes. He’s not swollen or anything. I told him it might just be bruised. I’m scared now, what if it’s real serious. Any doctor or nurse out there, even to any guy who’s been through this any advise would help. My husband said this happned to his buddy and the buddy got hit with a football, Seconds later he started swelling up. His buddy lost his testical. But my husband hasn’t swelled up. What should we do?
You have more than likely bruised your husbands testicles, as with any bruise it is going to be tender for a few days and there may even be slight swelling and of course color change. As long as he can urinate and the pain is not Unbearable for an extended period of time I would think he would be fine. You may want to apply some Ice to help with the discomfort. Other wise Just relax and let this take it course. Good luck.

Which Did You Like Better; The Chinese Connection or Fist of Legend?
I know it’s movie related but it’s also martial art related so I put it here…
Did you like Bruce Lee’s or Jet Li’s version better.
While I like the both of them I find them to be very different. I will have to say Jet Li is by far a better actor than Bruce Lee in my opinion.
One thing I noticed was that Jet Li’s version did not have a severe anti-Japanese tone like Bruce Lee’s version did. I think it had to do with the times as Lee’s version was closer to the end of WWII when people still had anti-Japanese feelings.
Which of the two did you like better?
The reason why Bruce lee’s version had a more severe anti-Japanese tone to it because it was made closer to the time when the Japanese and Chinese really hated each other. Nowadays we don’t really have that happening.
Storywise, I prefer Bruce Lee’s version. It was also a classic so you can’t take it out from your favorite martial arts movies. Overall though I prefer Jet Li’s version because the action is more fast paced and modern. The final fight was also way tougher compared to the other final fight in Bruce Lee’s version. I do think Bruce Lee’s was more realistic in that fights are generally short and that they take a lot of punches in Fist of Legend and they should really get knocked out with a guy like that who can break solid concrete without breaking a sweat.
