what does the Japanese word Hissatsu mean??
We are starting a new Shotokan Karate Club and like the word.
The first answer is very good.
Be aware that there is a knife out there that goes by the name Hissatsu, they may have a trade mark on the name.

What does “kumade” and “okinawa-te” translate to from Japanese (karate terms)?
I assume you mean Kumite. It means Exchange Hands. It is a term used for sparring.
Okinawa Te means Hand from Okinawa. It refers to all Karate.
