No contact sparring, and you get points when you probably would have done no damage at all. The kata is what you get graded on in that class. Never trust a style which grades you entirely on your forms. Grading needs to come from your ability to use what you’ve learned, not just move in a preset pattern. Where are you from? If local, I could point you in a good direction.
