I would like to teach Karate from my home. Is this a good idea?
I have studied the art for a good several years and I would like to teach basic skills from my home. I would not do this to get rich but because I enjoy it. I was thinking about two or three students at a time. I have a basic business plan but I would like to hear thoughts on this matter.
Again, if you are qualified to teach, then, perhaps. However, it may be wise to consult with an attorney to review what you should have in place in terms of Waivers (not worth much really, but it’s a deterent) Insurance and even licensing for your city/state if you intend to run this as a business or how to structure it otherwise so that you don’t end up losing your home for merely teaching from it.
