that isnt full of jerks and is good to beginners and that has girls there to.
It really depends on where you live. You don’t want to be driving across the entire city everyday just to go to train, so you may want to look into training somewhere that is nearby. Most stables allow a few [or at least one] free classes for potential fighters so they can see what the environment is like. Here are a few to look at:
Xtreme Couture : location – don’t know ;
Most expensive option. Never trained there, never plan to. May very well have many females training there. Word among the community is that they have rotating trainers a lot.
Cobra Kai : location – Sahara/I-15 ;
More economical option. Several females rolling all the time. Very experienced and belt-heavy instruction. Definitely a gym you will want to look at if you live/work nearby. World-class.
Excel Defense/Mica: locations- Craig/Jones, Charleston, Flamingo ;
More economical option. The Craig location has many females who roll everyday. Not sure of the others. Again, lots of experience. Check it out if you live/work nearby.
In terms of strictly MT, I wouldn’t know. I would actually train stand-up and grappling at the same stable if I were you. If I were anyone, unless you’re looking to compete very soon. Or you’re rich. There just is no reason to pay dues at two places at once.
