HAPKIDO: is able to get black belt of Hapkido begening ‘n 2005?

I wanna practice Hapkido in Argentina, but i readed curriculum of instructor and there is that he began his practicing ‘n 2005. Can he be black belt if he began from 2005 since today ?

It is possible that he earned his black belt….. But there is no way that he has enough training to be considered a qualified instructor with this short background. He has not gotten his basics down correctly yet. Besides Black belt means that he has learned the basics. It does not mean that he is good at them. That he is able to defend himself….etc. It is far from being a qualified instructor. To be considered a qualified instructor he would have more like 10-15 years of training at the very least. He would also hold at least a 4th degree black belt. If he is a black belt then he certainly is not higher than first degree black. If he claims to be run. In any case he is not qualified to teach. He still needs a full time instructor himself. That is just the way it is. I’ve been doing martial arts for over 42 years and teaching it for over 36 years. The guy you mention simply is not there yet.
