Grainy/Rubbery movement on knuckle, what can it be?

I’ve been taking a cardio kickboxing class for the past few months. During class I use gloves that are similar to these: http://www.sportsauthority.com/product/i…

I’ve developed a few bruises on my knuckles, the pain is bearable, usually after a few punches I don’t notice them anymore or it doesn’t hurt enough to stop.

My concern is that when I take my a finger and apply pressure on my middle knuckle and move my finger up and down, it feels like the tendon (or tissue) is moving and the movement has a grainy/rubbery texture to it. When I open my hand I can feel the same grainy/rubbery movement for a couple seconds. I don’t feel this when normally moving my finger only when apply pressure to the knuckle.

I don’t see significant swelling and the tendon seems to be in it’s proper place, and I have full range of motion. Should I be concerned?

Sounds like you broke your knuckle, see a doctor.
