Karate Bodybuilding
Should I do bodybuilding, and yoga for karate?

Will bodybuilding and/or yoga make me a better
karate artiest?

dont do body building per se, as in just getting big muscles for show, weight train for functionality, you can skips the bicep curls, focus on excercises that work more than on group of muscles, squats, benchpress and dead lifts are a must! I would also include military presses, chek presses, and dumbell rows.

any muscle isolation exercises are a waste of time, unless you just want to look pretty lol

and yes i think yoga would help, it helps my bjj

edit:no disrespect to JLH down there but that type of body building will not help with karate, having enormous muscle has nothing to do with fighting well, look at the muay thai fighters, most of them are skinny as heck but can knock out people 3x their size, think of it like this, when you weight train you wanna mimic movments you will actually be using, and maybe for karate resistance bands would be better for practicing punches and kicks with some resistance
