Has anyone else been taught this groin strike pain relief technique?
Many years ago when I was taking Judo, my instructor taught me what turned out to be a VERY effective technique to stop the pain of a groin strike. He told us to stand up straight whith the feet 1 foot apart and lean back slightly on the heels and jump 3 to 5 times, landing each time on the HEELS and the pain will be gone by the time you stop. It is a very awkward technique, but I was suprised to see how well it worked when we were in practice or sparring. My question is has anyone been taught this or some other effective technique for a groin strike? And of course assuming you have failed to stop a blow there in the first place.
I USED TO BE A GOALIE IN HOCKEY GAMES AND I FOUND THIS TO BE AN EFFECTIVE TECHNIQUE. LEANING BACK ON THE CROSS BAR WITH THE SHOULDER BLADES. i GUESS I SHOULD HAVE WORN A CUP
