Kajukenbo in Mixed Martial Arts?
if i train in bjj and muay thai, would kajukenbo be a good addition to my skillset for mma fighting?
(i prefer standup over grappling so wud rather it not be judo, sambo, wrestling etc… however kajukenbo still has throws and some ground game to make it more well rounding. which is wat i would prefer since it is primarily stand up but not completely)
Kajukenbo is an eclectic fighting system. It incorporates a number of different martial arts that cover the 4 ranges of fighting. I would think that with BJJ and Muay Thai, you would already have enough tools to work with in MMA. Think about how long it takes to develop mastery in either BJJ or Muay Thai. It could take half a lifetime to master either of those styles, so why make it take longer by incorpating a thrid style? If you just keep doing BJJ and Muay Thai, you will find that you have enough knowledge to keep you occupied.
